I. Purpose of Providing Mission House
A. To offer housing and residence accommodations to Baptist
international missionary families who are on furlough from an
active missionary assignment.
B. To enrich the fellowship of Red River Baptist Association
through association with missionary families.
C. To enhance the support of and belief in missions as an integral
part of the activities of Red River Baptist Association.
II. Method of Reserving Mission House
A. The use of the mission house is restricted to International Baptist
Foreign Missionaries.
B. Reservation requests for the use of Mission House will be made
through the Mission House Committee and will be considered in
the order received. Final approval will be given one year or
more in advance of occupancy.

C. Reservation requests will not be accepted more than three years in advance of the expected occupancy date. .
D. Applicants will expect to be residents for no less than three months and no more than twelve months. .
III. Red River Baptist Association Responsibilities
A. The Mission House will be completely furnished, including furniture, appliances, kitchen utensils, and linens.
B. The Mission House will be provided rent free. Excluded are utilities (electricity, gas, garbage, water, sewage), telephone,
computer network connection, and cable television.
C. Lawn will be maintained by the residents.
D. Adequate insurance will be provided on the dwelling and furnishings.
IV. Missionary Residents Responsibilities
A. The requesting family is responsible for corresponding with the Chairman of the Mission House Committee as to the final details of arrival and departure. Dates cannot be changed once they are approved.
B. If the premises must be vacated earlier than scheduled, the Chairman of the Mission House Committee must be notified as soon as possible through the Red River Baptist Association Mission Center.
C. Furniture or other items may not be removed from the premises for storage or other purposes without permission of the Mission House Committee through the Red River Baptist Association Mission Center.
D. Under normal circumstances, furloughing missionaries occupying the residence will be expected to be members of a Red River Baptist Association church.
E. The missionary unit will serve as Missionary-In-Residence for RRBA
during their furlough and occupancy of the RRBA Mission House.
This is basically a covenant agreement:
1. We acknowledge IMB has pre-requisite expectations for furloughing missionaries.
2. We acknowledge the need for missionaries to spend time with their families during furlough.
3. Missionary In Residence will be available a minimum of 2 times a month for speaking or teaching in churches related to RRBA during this furlough, to include times around the various missions emphasis --International Missions, North American Missions, State Missions, and Associational Missions.
4. The Missionary In Residence will serve as an adjunct member of the Reach Our World Team (Missions Development), and will keep the Team informed of progress of missions education in which they have been involved.
F. The Mission House Committee expects the residence being left in the same condition in which it was found upon occupancy.
G. An inventory list and a copy of these policies will be placed in the Mission House and maintained in the Red River Baptist Association Mission Center.
H. Pets may not be kept inside Mission House. Pets may be kept in
the backyard, which is fenced.
VI. Mission House Committee Responsibilities
A. To oversee the maintenance and use of Mission House.
B. To maintain a five-year calendar of occupancy for the residence.
C. To coordinate assistance from the International Mission Board, the
North American Mission Board, and Ouachita Baptist University in
publicizing the availability of the Mission House.
D. To insure that Mission House utilities are turned on and turned off.
